- Question: How do I set the proper time on my CML equipment?
Answer: From the SMART PC, press F1 to log in. Use the Admin log in ID. From the Main Menu select F1 for System Reconfig. Select F9 for Date & Time Reconfig. Adjust the time by selecting the F keys at the bottom of the screen. Press F2 to save. Press F1 twice to go back to the main menu. Press F7 to log out.

Question: I have no sound coming out of my speakers, what should I check first?
Answer: Make sure that your speakers are on and the volume is turned up. Click on the speaker icon on the bottom right corner of your screen and make sure that the speaker volume is up and the mute square is not checked. Make sure that your speakers are plugged into the green port on your CPU and on the proper sound card. If you are still having problems call your IES technical rep.
- Question: How do I do a Manual ALI or a Reverse ALI query?
Answer: On your Sentinel screen click on Previous Call. Put the call back into service. Click on the Request ALI button. Type in the 10 digit phone number. Click on ALI Query. Wait for the information to populate the screen. Click on Keep.
- Question: I logged into my Sentinel screen and it looks very different. What can I do?
Answer: You probably logged in with a wrong or mistyped user name. Log out and log in again and make sure that you are using the proper log-in ID and password.
- Question: My monitor will go black after a period of time. How can I fix that?
Answer: On the dispatcher screen, right click on a blank portion of the screen (make sure that the Sentinel screen is minimized). Click on the Screen Saver tab, then click on the Power button. This will bring up another pop-up menu. Set the ‘Turn off monitor’, ‘Turn off hard disks’, ‘System standby’ and ‘System hibernates’ options to NEVER.
- Question: How do I add a button to my Sentinel screen from my Speed Dial list?
Answer: There are three options available – adding a page to the Sentinel screen, (Speed 1.pdf) adding a label to an existing Speed Dial entry, (Speed 2.pdf) adding a Speed Dial button to the Sentinel screen (Speed 3.pdf).
